LODGE WARRANT

Our original Warrant date back to January 25, 1908 and was granted by the United Grand Lodge of England and our number under this constitution was 3288 E.C.

It is worth -while to mention that our Lodge was one of the recipients of Hall Stone Medal 'whilst under the United Grand Lodge of England. After joining the fledgling Grand Lodge of India, we were privileged to recieve the Foundation Lodge medal which is proudly worn by the Worshipful Master at each Lodge meeting.

With the formation and inauguration of the Grand Lodge of India our Lodge unanimously opted for joining it and was registered in the Books of the Grand Lodge of India as No. 71. A new Warrant dated November 24, 1961 was granted.

The first Regional Grand Master of Eastern India was none other than Right Worshipful Bro. Sisir Ghosh, one of the most senior members of our lodge. He served the office with distinction for a period of years. In the year 1979, Lodge Goodfellowship had the unique privilege of seeing another of it's senior members, Right Worshipful Bro. Sunil Singh Roy being appointed as Regional Grand Master of the Regional Grand Lodge of Eastern India, which office he held till 1985. In 1985, Right Worshipful Bro. A.N. Banerjee, a senior member of our Lodge, had the privilege of serving for a very short while as the Acting Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of India. Till date no other brother from Eastern India has served in this position.

ROLL OF OFFICERS AND MEMBERS
A study of the roll of officers of the Lodge brings to light the hard and sincere work put in by a number of eminent people. Their names can be found in the lists of Founders, and the successive list of members which are still recorded in the original book.

Of the members in general the Lodge has a proud record of having very eminent citizens of Calcutta at all times including a number of Maharajas and Rajas, eminent physicians, jurists, industrialists and also important Government officials, editors of newspapers etc., as will be evident from the roll of members given elsewhere.

The Lodge has a proud record of having on its roll members in four generations right from the founder member to the present day.
